About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Art Handler, with gallery and team management experience, to join and lead our Art Handling team, deliver our impressive and ambitious exhibitions programme and displays organised by our Architecture, Art Sales, Collections, Exhibitions and Learning teams, as well as by the Royal Academy Schools.

Our ideal candidate will consider themselves a technical specialist in the field, having worked across a range of media and with experience working on diverse exhibition and display programmes. With this experience, in this role you will lead, support and develop a fantastic team and so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate well-tuned management and leadership skills.

In this role you will build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation, so communication and interpersonal skills are a must. We are also looking for someone who is forward thinking and commercially minded, with a razor-sharp attention to detail as this role will lead on scheduling and budgeting for the department.
