Digital and Graphic Designer

Based in Botley, Oxford

Full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week

Salary up to £30,000 per annum, subject to experience

An exciting opportunity for a true creative – our client is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer to take the brand to the next level across all print and digital channels in the UK and across several European campuses, including via the website instances.

With a focus on creative expression, the role will work closely with the in-house Content Creator and other marketing team members to produce a wide range of print and digital assets. The Digital and Graphic Designer is the custodian of the brand guidelines, whilst continually evolving and enhancing them.

The company is a Higher Education provider in Creative Media, which has significant growth plans over the next few years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the design framework for use across our multiple platforms and device types, including social media channels, the UK and European websites, in-house and external presentations, and content for digital advertising campaigns.
  • Design bespoke images and assets for use on digital and social media channels.
  • Create print-ready, high quality marketing materials including, but not limited to, posters, flyers, banners, large format displays and the annual undergraduate prospectus.
  • Provide support across the region for the development of the recently launched website.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven excellent design skills with at least two years’ experience, ideally in a digital and offline creative design agency.
  • Qualification in a design-related subject.
  • Experience in creating webpages using WordPress, with a knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), Google/ Microsoft Office.
  • Able to scale, re-purpose and tailor creative concepts across multiple digital and print platforms.
  • Experience of working within corporate identity frameworks with a good eye for detail.
  • Must have rights to work in the UK and live within commutable distance to our HQ in Botley, Oxford with effect November 2023. Our new offices have free parking.

Desirable Criteria:

  • An understanding of photography and video production and be able to create animation in platforms such as After Effects.
  • Experience of Canva, Trello, Microsoft Teams, Office Suite (including PowerPoint), and Google Suite.
  • UK driving licence.
