Salary – £74,641

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Communications to join our Standards and Policy directorate. This is a full-time appointment for 37 hours per week.

The Professional Standards Authority oversees the work of the ten health and social care regulators to ensure their work protects patients. We conduct annual performance reviews of the regulators and can appeal decisions of their fitness to practise panels if we think those decisions are not sufficient to protect the public. We are an independent body, accountable to the UK Parliament. We are a small organisation that is respected for its expertise and have a role in contributing to debates on professional regulation.

We Are Looking To Recruit An Individual Who Has

As the Head of Stakeholder Engagement and Communications you will be working with the Directors’ Group, the Board and key stakeholders to produce and implement the organisation’s Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Strategies and promote awareness of the Authority’s Accreditation programme.

  • A strong knowledge of stakeholder engagement and communication strategies, with the ability to champion a coordinated approach to communications across the organisation and with its stakeholders
  • The ability and knowledge to positively raise awareness and manage the organisations brand and reputation across diverse channels
  • The ability to lead and develop the Stakeholder Engagement and Communications team
  • The ability to act as the key point of contact for stakeholder engagement and communication for the organisation
  • The ability to develop engagement and communication plans and campaigns to proactively support and highlight the organisation’s role in the reform of professional regulation
  • The ability to organise annual stakeholder events, including workshops, roundtables, and conferences along with patient and public groups to support the organisation
  • The ability to support the organisation’s forward planning approach in regards to the regulatory landscape.

The Authority is currently piloting a hybrid working policy of two days in the office and three working at home per week.

The Authority’s offices are currently located in Victoria, London. However, we are looking to move to another central London location (to be confirmed) in early 2023.
