HR Business Partner – London

Why is this role so special?

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right person. We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who can support the team. You will act as a business partner and trusted advisor to managers and staff, using a broad range of HR expertise and data insight to understand needs and advise on people initiatives that support the delivery of operational and strategical goals. You will support the Head of HR in delivering the People Strategy and effective planning, implementation and embedding of organizational change projects.

Duration: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Place of work: London office, 3 days in the office per week, 2 from home

Salary: £45,737 per annum pro rata

Reporting to: Head of HR and OD

Line Reports: 1 direct report, HR Officer

Contract and hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the organisation attracts the best talent, maximises opportunities for internal progression and improve the diversity of the work force
  • Oversee recruitment, induction and exit process for employees in conjunction with the HR Officer and line managers
  • Act as a trusted advisor, partnering with senior leaders and managers – understanding the context in which they operate and working collaboratively to develop people solutions that help deliver business plans and address challenges.
  • Coach managers to embed HR processes and effective management within teams, including an approach that embraces wellbeing and inclusion to enable employees to thrive at work.
  • Provide solutions focused and risk assessed advice and support to managers and staff to the effective resolution of employees’ relations issues
  • Contribute to and proactively support change initiatives, including restructures and transformational projects
  • Lead on advising managers and staff on immigration related matters, seeking legal advice as appropriate.
  • Act as Systems Administrator and lead on the maintenance of the HRIS, ensuring it meets the needs of the HR team and staff at all times
  • Provide relevant HR data and information to senior leaders and managers, enabling them to make people decisions that are evidence based and to address areas for improvement in their people plans
  • Oversee the accurate collection and storage of employee, consultant and volunteers’ data in accordance with data protection policies
  • Lead in the provision of key metrics, through reporting via the HRIS, to the Head of HR to feed into quarterly and annual KPIs

About the person:

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy HR department with involvement in broad range HR activities and a good understanding of Business Partnering. Charity sector experience and up to date knowledge of current employment legislation, awareness of forthcoming employment legislation is key.
