PR Account Manager

Cheltenham 2 days per week in the office


Busy times at this PR agency, it’s time to recruit a new PR Account Manager to join this friendly, super successful public relations, social media, and marketing communications agency. The team work on a hybrid basis, so you can visit the office 2 days a week and the rest can be remote.

You’ll have communications consultancy or equivalent in-house experience. Strong PR and social media skills are essential.

Working on both consumer and B2B clients, you’ll have a flair for writing for

different styles of publication, and a good knowledge of the requirements of editors/journalists in lifestyle, trade, business, local and national press, and online channels (including bloggers).

To be considered:

You could come from a PR agency or in-house alternatively you might be a marketing account manager with excellent writing skills.

Typical duties;

  • securing the best outputs and outcomes on behalf of a client to given target audiences and within agreed budgets
  • ensuring that all material submitted to the clients is of the highest quality, is correct, is on brief and creative
  • providing advice to clients
  • drafting project proposals, reviews and new business proposals under the supervision of the Account Director
  • drafting and placing in-depth information on behalf of clients
  • liaison with key media, being familiar with all key publications and editors within a client’s sector
  • executing media relations techniques for clients: news releases, features, feature contributions, in-depth features, press meetings, placing articles, setting up face to face meetings, organising press conferences, media research, general research.
  • executing the social media techniques for clients: social media strategies, competitor analysis, social media plans, implementation, advertising, review and evaluation etc
