Receptionist Administrator

We have a great opportunity to join a vibrant and innovative charity as a part-time Receptionist and Officer Administrator covering reception.

The role will also include and supporting the HR team with the recruitment and new starter process, wellbeing, training and development initiatives.

Position: Receptionist and Office Administrator

Location: London

Hours: Part time 23.75 hours per week (12:15 to 17:00)

Salary: £15,804 per annum (FTE £23,290 per annum)

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: Up to 7% pension contribution, membership to the Simplyhealth cash plan, Life assurance, 25 days holiday in the first year increasing with length of service to 30 days.

About The Role

The organisation is the national charity for hospice and end of life care and works together to ensure everyone affected by death, dying and bereavement gets the care and support they need, when they need it. The team are amazing people and achieve amazing things every day.

This is a varied role and requires someone who can roll their sleeves up and prioritise tasks using their great problem-solving and practical skills at a national charity.

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area to provide a welcoming and professional reception and telephone service to the organisation and coordinate the administration and servicing of the Hospice House meeting rooms.

You will be joining a small, happy and collaborative facilities and reception team that supports staff, visitors and contractors alike.

About You

You are a practical, problem-solving kind of person and committed to excellent customer service. You want to grow your office administration and reception experience on your way to bigger things. You like working in small, friendly and collaborative teams, supporting staff, visitors, and contractors and meeting new people.

Ideally, you will have past experience working as a receptionist or in customer service and will be approachable with a flexible approach to work. You will also be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders as well as being able to prioritise and juggle a number of tasks in a proactive, efficient, sensitive and confidential manner.

You will need basic administration skills with accurate record keeping and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel. In addition we would like to find a confident ‘people person’ who can build strong relationships with visitors and colleagues.
