The Company

Our client provides national leadership and expertise in welfare support and early years in Wales.

Their vision is to make a positive difference to support for children, adults and their families and carers.

To do this, they lead on developing and regulating the support workforce, service improvement, data and research to improve welfare support and casework.

The Digital Team is a new team within our client’s organisation, that will support the implementation of their brand new, digital strategy.

They are now looking for a Service Designer to join their brand-new digital team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Service Designer, you will oversee the end-to-end journey of services to the welfare support and early years workforce in Wales.

Directing, leading and providing service design leadership on projects, you will meet user and business needs through analysis and interpretation.

You will manage the creation of, or change to, transactions, products and services across digital and offline channels. Considering who will use a service, how they will interact with it and how to improve it, you will test changes and work with users to improve services.

About You

To be considered as a Service Designer, you will need:

  • Experience in user-centred design from concept to final delivery
  • Experience designing services that meet user needs
  • Experience creating service design artefacts
  • Experience creating bilingual services
  • Experience of data analysis and synthesis
  • Experience sketching, concept creating and designing prototypes
  • Experience of Microsoft Power Platform, web development and content creation systems
  • The ability to prototype in code
  • Knowledge of how to design end-to-end public services in an inclusive and accessible way
  • An understanding of inclusive digital delivery platforms
  • The ability to communicate well in both Welsh and English
  • A degree or equivalent qualification
