The Role:

Do you want to play a part in providing an improved outcome for children who need secure and loving homes to flourish and be part of a family forever?

Working with Adopt South’s Adoption Service offers a range of services to prospective adoptive families through to adults affected by Adoption and therefore your role will cover a variety of different tasks. The Children’s Adoption Team focuses on work with the birth families and children at different stages of the adoption process from parallel planning through to placing children with their adoptive families. Your role would be to offer admin support in all those areas to the social workers within the team.

The duties will involve processing confidential and sensitive documentation within tight timescales and providing support to a team of social workers in all matter relating to adoption. Safeguarding is a key responsibility within the Childrens Adoption team, ensuring that records are kept up to date, and children are monitored with different placement types. As a motivated individual and a confident team player, you must be able to work under pressure, using your own initiative when required. We are looking for a highly organised and experienced administrative professional with excellent IT and communication skills, and dedication to improve outcomes for children and young people in Hampshire.

Your administrative skills and talent for organisation will be highly valued here in the Childrens Adoption team. We can offer you a genuinely varied and responsible position and the chance to play a supporting role in helping the county’s most vulnerable children.
