We are seeking Building Risk and Compliance Advisors with Hard Services maintenance backgrounds to join our team in Property Services.

You will have a background in
building maintenance such as
electrical or
mechanical
engineering.

As part of your role, you will assist with the delivery of a strategy to manage risks relating to buildings under the responsibility of property services (with particular focus on building maintenance / compliance), providing the necessary assurance and evidencing through a structured approach of checking, monitoring,
auditing, and reporting.

You will ensure the work carried out by framework contractors meets the required quality and defined specification fulfilling the safety, statutory, and compliance obligations. In addition, you will support and build a culture of strong
risk management and compliance, through a collaborative approach.

The main operations covered are planned, preventative, reactive maintenance, and responsible person management activities across all asset areas, including Legionella, mechanical and electrical services, building fabric, fire safety, gas safety, pressure systems, structural integrity etc.

Property Services is a Hampshire County Council in-house team of multi-disciplinary construction professionals and specialist support staff delivering a range of property functions ranging from new build, refurbishments, and extensions through to maintenance and compliance activities. It encompasses the large HCC estate and those of our partner organisations and will include schools, offices, libraries, fire stations and police premises.
