- Commissioning experience, ideally within a government setting
- Experience of market management and market shaping
- Experience of leading within adult social care teams
- Skilled in people management, building relationships, and managing conflict
- A strong commercial understanding within the context of the provision of social care
- The ability to translate strategy into robust implementation plans
- The ability to articulate and implement a vision, using data to demonstrate success
- The ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders with varying strategies and priorities
- An understanding of the political and reputational position of the programmes
- A flexible working environment
