Job Responsibilities:

• fluency in written and spoken English – additional languages are a bonus
• the physical fitness to cope with long periods of standing, sitting, bending, and walking
• full colour vision and a required standard of hearing too
• Welcoming passengers and putting them at ease as they complete their security checks
• Conducting safety checks on passengers and colleagues
• Patrolling the airport
• Monitoring access to secure areas
• a positive and friendly approach to customers
• great attention to detail
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service to everyone at Heathrow

Job Requirements:

• early morning shifts, lasting approximately 8.5 hours, in a pattern of four days on, two days off
• mixed early, late and night shifts, lasting approximately 8.5 hours, in a pattern of four days on, two days off
• early shifts starting from 05:00, lasting 8.5 hours, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday
• late shifts starting from 13:30, lasting 8.5 hours, on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays
• have been a UK resident for at least the last three years
• hold the right to work in the UK
• be at least 18 years of age
• be prepared to complete a pre-employment vetting period, which can last 15 weeks and includes medical, criminal record and counter terrorism checks
• mixed early, late and a small number of night shifts, lasting 8-10 hours, equating to 20 hours per week

Qualification & Experience:

• You don’t need previous experience in security.
