The Corporate Centre Group provides a wide range of corporate services to enable people at HM Treasury and many of the other organisations who form part of the Treasury Group (including the Government Internal Audit Agency, the Debt Management Office and the new National Infrastructure Bank) to operate effectively and efficiently. We are a diverse group, both in terms of our professions and in our ways of working.

The Corporate Centre Group is made up of: Commercial; Correspondence and Information Rights; Finance; Human Resources; Information Workspace Solutions (IWS); the Flexible Safer Working team, the Darlington programme team and Treasury Group Shared Services (based in Norwich).

This role will work across a portfolio of projects such as fairness at work, recruitment, retention and progression, bullying, harassment and discrimination, initiatives, and other related workstreams to ensure effective communication and engagement with key stakeholders such as HR leads, Champions, Employee networks and leaders from across the department.

Key Accountabilities

In order to mainstream HR activity successfully into our everyday delivery we know that supportive systems, networks and communities (individuals, teams, HR leads, Champions, Employee Networks and leaders) within the Treasury will need to work collectively and collegiately, embodying Civil Service values. The role will support the delivery of our commitments to strengthen our culture, support inclusion across HR and will generate passion and maintain momentum.

Specific Responsibilities Include, Not Limited To

  • Act as HR liaison with internal communications, developing a communications plan and writing and coordinating content ensuring that messaging is consistent and timely
  • Create tools and resources to provide support and guidance to HR colleagues and upskill teams.
  • Ensure that HR communications are accessible, engaging and inclusive, and that communication activity is evaluated in a timely manner and lessons learned implemented.
  • Lead a programme of work that includes supporting a community of colleagues that support our work and values across the department including crafting and delivering messaging, resources and tools for them.
  • Manage and communicate a suite of forward looks for a range of audiences (Networks, Champions, Internal Communications), introducing and maintaining a system to ensure a co-ordinated flow of activity from across the HR team.
  • Support the team on a portfolio of cross cutting activity to ensure an inclusive workplace where everyone is able to make the most of their potential. For example, supporting colleagues with projects related to bullying, harassment and discrimination and learning and development.
