HSBC Market & Securities Services (MSS) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody and sub-custody settlement and services.

We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Senior Fund Administrator

The purpose of the Edinburgh FINS Data Support and Oversight team is to oversee the FINS Data operational team sited within our Securities Services Operational Service Centres ensuring that the end service delivery to our clients meets the service standards documented within our Service Level Definition

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight for teams in Manilla, acting as an Escalation point for unresolved BAU operational issues raised by Senior Management
  • Performing function specific oversight checks, reviewing and monitoring client service deliverables
  • Highlighting and discussing all identified deficiencies with the Business Service Delivery owner to facilitate closure
  • Providing input to weekly and monthly BAU meetings with the SSO Operational Managers to discuss performance standards, ensuring these are documented within agreed timelines set
  • Monitoring of all client and internal feedback, complaints, breaches, errors and losses

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Solid background of working within Investment Operations along with knowledge of settlements, custody and/or similar business area would be beneficial
  • Superior attention to detail and the ability to work within a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
  • Analytical mind-set coupled with the ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills
  • Be highly confident in your approach and be comfortable in having difficult conversations
  • Data experience and an understanding of Markit, Trade Flow and/or Calypso would be advantageous

The role has a hybrid working pattern allowing for home based and office based working out of HSBC offices in Edinburgh.
