Corporate Actions Analyst

The role of the Common Depository and Corporate Actions Analyst is to process any Corporate Actions events that may arise on Issuances for which we are acting as Common Depository, where these Events will be processed within our internal system and the details distributed to the International Central Securities Depositories (ICSDs). This role will also require an oversight of our teams based in India on any events that they have processed, while also providing support on any queries that may arise from the teams. To complete these task, the individual will be responsible for maintenance of our internal trackers and logs, for both the management of ongoing events and the recording of responses from Noteholders and the ICSDs to any events and then providing these result back to the Issuer. While also assisting in the maintenance of ICSDs Relationship through regular operational calls to discuss our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor Client requests that may require process or system changes. There will also be the need to provide support to the wider Common Depository Team when and if required, through assisting with the production and storage of Global Notes, in order to ensure that we meet our CASS requirements around the safekeeping of Client Assets

In this role, you will:

  • Reviewing of Event Notices and distributing these accordingly to transaction parties including the Clearing Systems.
  • Processing of Corporate Actions events including but not limited to Puts, Conversions, Exchanges, Unwinds, Consent Solicitations, Note holder meetings, Events of Default, Credit Events, ELN Redemptions
  • Updating and Maintaining Corporate Actions Logs and Trackers, while also monitoring all open events.
  • Completion of Daily Reports to evidence completion of tasks and closure of events.
  • Compiling and maintaining responsibility for weekly and ad-hoc MI reporting.
  • Acknowledge and respond to all client and clearing system queries within the agreed timescales.
  • Remain aware and of risk impact in relation to role and ensure compliance to procedures and CASS
  • Improve processes and controls through suggestions and awareness of risk impacts
  • Support the other members of the team in managing the day to day work for the team.
  • Establish and maintain operational relationships with peer group client contacts and London CSMs/TMs to ensure strong and efficient processes and open, honest dialogue.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience with handling and processing of Corporate Actions (mandatory and voluntary) essential.
  • Experience of Corporate Trust is preferable
  • Experience with Euroclear Bank and Clearstream Banking is preferable.
  • Strong communication & client service skills required to build and enhance client relationships.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT including MT535, MT536, MT564, MT565 & MT566 messages relating to the securities markets.
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively with minimum supervision.

Role Location: Office working based from HQ in London, Canary Square.
