We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of WPB Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening Manager. The role will report to the WPB Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening Lead. This individual will support the transaction monitoring and customer screening WPB strategy.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the WPB Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening Lead to maintain the appropriate oversight and ensure the effectiveness of the Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening Framework
  • Review, discounting and escalation of negative news screening and transaction monitoring alert decisions
  • Be responsible for the support of projects/programmes related to Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening. Including the upcoming “best in class” strategic Intelligence Led Financial Crime Risk Management (ILFCRM) tooling – Dynamic Risk Assessment (DRA) for CIIOM Islands and Jersey Expat. Working with Regional and Global teams.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert in Transaction Monitoring and Customer Screening (Real Time Screening, Oracle Watchlist Screening, RDC and Kantar Negative News Screening)
  • Provide appropriate support, to the business and front line teams, continuously improve employee knowledge and understanding.
  • Identify change initiatives to improve the risk monitoring effectiveness and work with second line to ensure effective controls
  • Ensure appropriate oversight on transaction monitoring and Screening processes including offshore in TM Ops, ensuring good throughput and quality, escalating any issues or concerns

Requirements

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • A good understanding and experience of transaction monitoring or customer screening is preferred but not essential
  • Good understanding of risk function, if possible in liaison with financial crime risks desirable but not essential
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple objectives and decision making under pressure
  • Proven record of effective time management, including planning and decision making, identifying priorities and bringing a wide range of tasks to successful completion
  • A desire to find ways to continually improve the service
  • Good independence in their organisation and proactivity in the execution of their responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate at all levels effectively
