Global Employee Relations Lead – Continuous Improvement – Secondment/ FTC Until Sept 2023

We are currently seeking a Global ER Lead – Continuous Improvements to support the Group ER team to deliver the Continuous Improvement workstream, implementing and embedding enhanced global investigation standards. The role holder will need to stay well connected with the wider ER team to ensure enhancements are relevant; teams are engaged and feel empowered to influence change.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the Head of Investigation Transformation to remediate audit identified issues, including the reassessment and redesign of the Quality Assurance model and standing up of a Quality Assurance function.
  • Act as an Investigation SME as part of the redesign of the ER investigation service
  • Support the adoption of a test and trial investigation service, with a fungible pool of investigators dedicated to ER investigations
  • Lead initiatives identified as continuous improvement activity across ER Investigations including but not limited to e.g. actioning global standards for ways of working obtained via regional questionnaires, including use of AI and note taking, business led investigations and the investigation landscape
  • Contribute to the activities derived from the Investigation Council, in particular where those relate to enhancements to the existing ER investigation service
  • Work with the wider Group ER team, increase the capability of investigators, including the design and delivery of an investigation acedemy and accreditation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of Employee Relations and investigations
  • Experience of Project and/or programme management and understanding of governance structures
  • Strong writing ability, presenting proposals to senior management to seek buy in
  • Experience with developing and implementing change initiatives; including frameworks and applying global standards advantageous
  • Familiarity with HSBC Change Implementation Framework
  • Strong ability to prioritise
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely in English both orally and in writing
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and with leading and inspiring change
  • Ability to be pragmatic, challenge the status quo and offer a range of solutions to potential risks/issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

This is a hybrid role in which the successful candidate can work from their home base.

This role is on a secondment/ Fixed term contract basis until the end of September 2023.
