Manager, Performance Marketing – eCommerce, Wealth and Personal Banking

This is a global role managing our paid, owned and earned media strategy cohesively and effectively and developing a global e-commerce strategy across major marketplaces and platforms The successful candidate will be working with relevant global, regional, and local market stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and deliver a cohesive and effective global marketplace – ecommerce marketing strategy
  • Support regions and markets to track and optimise their ecommerce performance, including through the creation of playbooks to set guardrails on how to acquire, engage and retain customers
  • Work with the wider Performance Marketing team to create a unified and holistic approach to media planning and buying
  • Drive understanding and advocacy of search, social and affiliate marketing across the broader organisation
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for each of the online marketplaces and websites that HSBC works with, maintain listings on major marketplaces, and other platforms as well as partner with local country teams on the development of other marketplaces as required.
  • Work closely with in-house agency, product & journey teams, media planning agencies and strategic partners to deploy integral digital capabilities to enable markets optimise their ROI in search, social and ecommerce marketing across platforms like Meta, Google, LinkedIn etc.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant experience across performance marketing channels including content marketing and digital marketing, and deep knowledge of best-in-class activities across search, social and ecommerce marketing
  • Proven expertise in email marketing, search advertising (SEO, PPC, AdWords), display advertising (retargeting), ecommerce marketing
  • Demonstrable experience with Google Analytics or any other analytics reporting tools
  • Experience working with content management systems and uploading content on to CMS
  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative, in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of how to drive acquisition strategy through marketplace and ecommerce marketing
  • Passionate about building test and learn frameworks across all SEM campaigns, ensuring tests reach significance where possible and learnings / next steps are communicated to clients.
  • An understanding of retail banking and wealth management products would be desirable but not essential

This role has the base location as either London or Hong Kong.
