We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Consumer Delivery Manager Data Ops

The role of Consumer Delivery Manager sits within the Data Operations function within Data and Regulatory Reporting division of MSS Operations and reports directly into the Domain Lead – Books and Hierarchies. It is a globally aligned, cross asset operational structure positioned equidistant from the Front Office, Operations, Finance and Risk. Data and Regulatory reporting is responsible for 5 key data domains: Accounts & SSIs, Instrument & Pricing, Legal Documentation, Books and Hierarchies, and EOD Rates and Curves.

Books and Hierarchies Data Domain is responsible for providing accurate and complete Primary Trading System and Back Office books and associated linkage to the four concurrent hierarchies (Business Line Hierarchy, Reporting Entity Hierarchy, Regional Hierarchy and Front Office Supervision Hierarchy) for Risk and P&L reporting, external regulatory and internal reporting and controls monitoring across all functions front to back.

The purpose of this role is to provide supervision and oversight of key controls operated to ensure high quality, timely and consistent data is published, align to target state requirements and work with stakeholders to provide global cross functional solutions to achieve MSS strategy and business outcomes with appropriate governance of the end to end process. The team will be globally responsible for activities across the whole of Markets and Markets Treasury.

The role holder will be a Consumer Delivery Manager working closely with the Product Managers, Data Engineering and Consumer Delivery teams to ensure consumer concerns are addressed as well as drive synergies within the Data Domains.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the Front Office, Finance, Operations, Risk, Technology, and Architecture teams to support the Data Domain and Data Engineering leads in delivering cross functional solutions within the trusted source
  • Continually review and enhance the data quality controls, improve operational efficiency by reducing manual processes and ensure that the domain is compliant with new data policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support the delivery of projects and other strategic business outcomes (e.g. re-structure and re-organise trading books, portfolio strategies and associated hierarchies within Markets and Securities Services, re-engineering of book opening and workflow lifecycle to minimise time to market books)
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the Operational Hub team in India to prioritise competing objectives, enhance their subject matter expertise and deliver on Data Domain strategy

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • An individual who can work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to drive project and business initiatives and manage competing deliverables
  • Data driven role, so the candidate should have experience in Reference Data management, data improvements and data quality controls
  • Experience in driving complex and large data / strategic initiatives through to delivery
  • Knowledge of Markets & Securities Services Front-to-Back business processes and how data is used within the business with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a proactive and constructive attitude. Doesn’t hesitate to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to identify and mitigate data risks with the ability to understand materiality of data risks and prioritise / differentiate response accordingly.
  • Strong relationships skills and ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and responsibility for work and be comfortable working independently
