ABOUT THE FUNCTION
The Integrated Media team is part of the Marketing function, responsible for delivering sustainable, extraordinary growth by attracting and activating consumers and customers through paid, owned, and earned media.
We work to find the most effective and efficient approach to reaching, influencing, and engaging consumers and customers. Converting more consumers into IKEA customers and increasing the value of our current customers by getting under the skin of their behavior and needs, optimizing our channel mix to continually find ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness of media investment, while seeking to find new and innovative ways to connect with the many people.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Integrated Media Leader, (Marketing Manager) you will have an exciting remit in driving how we reach and engage the many people in the UK & Ireland. Reporting to the Integrated Media Manager, your responsibilities involve shaping our brand-building paid media strategy and planning, and driving our social media strategy and presence forward. We have big ambitions to develop where and how IKEA shows up across platforms and are looking for someone to unleash the full potential of IKEA across social media. You will be responsible for leading 2x social media specialists.

ABOUT YOU

As the UK&IE Integrated Media Leader, you have the ability to understand the complexity of IKEA’s business and the role of Marketing as an integrated part of the business.
You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating across teams to deliver results. You are able to connect strategy to tactical details and have the ability to follow up and measure the performance of output and capture learnings to improve planning and performance moving forward.
As a person, you are passionate about people, business, and IKEA’s purpose, and continuously drive better performance.
Further, you are energized by driving business growth and contributing to overall success as well as by increasing customer value.

Essential Skills Required
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Marketing and delivering results.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing a team of social media specialists or equivalent, and external agencies and suppliers.
• You have deep knowledge of social media (essential), and you stay up-to-date with the latest platform developments
• You have a good knowledge across paid media channels (e.g. TV and VOD planning, radio, out-of-home billboards), an understanding the key planning principles behind different marketing channels and tactics (preferable)
• You have a curious entrepreneurial spirit and actively seek out new opportunities to improve results
• Experience in managing large budgets and close attention to detail
• You also have experience in retail, preferably the home furnishing sector

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Act as a member of the Marketing team and proactively contribute to the marketing plan/output ensuring our paid media plan effectively delivers the common marketing objectives and goals
• Lead a team of 2x Social Media Specialists securing clear ways of working, processes, and the relevant tools to effectively execute across channels
• Support Marketing Performance Leader with Media Performance analysis, including media auditing, cost-efficiency analysis, monitoring, and reporting on the cost-benefit ratio
• Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and beyond to secure integration, common focus, and maximize the impact
• Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values, and contribute to the transformation of IKEA
• Support all initiatives within and outside commercial included in the agreed online and marketing communication plans (e.g, sustainable growth initiatives)

Our team is the voice of IKEA. We use words, pictures and videos to tell the story about IKEA, to build our brand and inspire people with our offer. We bounce ideas back and forth, we challenge each other and we are crazy passionate about communication. Of course we’re also the ones who make sure to keep all our fellow co-workers informed, engaged and connected in a constantly changing business environment.

This position is full time, you will work 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Service Office principal location is Hybrid working a minimum of 8 days per calendar month in the office and the remainder flexibly working remotely at home.
