About the team

The marketing team are responsible for generating modern, fresh and culturally relevant omni channel marketing ideas. Bringing campaigns to life from conception to reality. Whether it be large scale global campaigns, the biggest celebrity collaborations or new store activations, the departments main priority is to create ideas through messaging, imagery and motion. We live and breathe our brand and commercial objectives by enticing, exciting and engaging our target consumer. We work on creative concepts for iconic calendar events such as Christmas, Summer, Back to School and beyond.

We’re looking for creative minded, delivery and performance focused individuals to join our inhouse team. You’ll be working with a team of talented brand, campaign, retail, customer impact and studio-based marketing experts. Working for JD across our brand portfolio including Nike, adidas, Puma, The North Face and Under Armour to name a few. This is an extremely exciting time to join our expanding inhouse marketing team.

About the Customer Impact team

The role of the customer impact team is to connect authentically with audiences across any touch point where our consumer dwells. Incorporating relevant digital innovation, product, brand and purpose led storytelling, community management and relevant talent. Using established, disruptive, immersive and emerging channels to maximise engagement, SOV, reach, awareness and brand sentiment, both on and off-page.

About the role

You will need to have strong experience in leading, planning, implementing, and reviewing integrated marketing campaigns across store, OOH, and digital touch points. With a strong commercial and analytical eye, you will be familiar with digital marketing principles, including all major social platforms. You will have a proven record of accomplishment in creation of loyalty, member and / or marketing strategy and a passion for brands and product. You will be friendly, ambitious, and organised, with strong stakeholder management skills.

As Head of Membership Marketing, you will work closely with the Head of Loyalty and App, Associate Director of Customer Impact, and other senior stakeholders to own and deliver against a full marketing programme for our JD+ Members. Identifying new opportunities for audience retention and acquisition through strategic marketing initiatives, working to agreed KPI’s around membership conversion, growth, and retention.

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead the marketing programme calendar for all JD+ Members.
  • Help develop and execute a membership centric marketing strategy around JD+ and 3rd party brands.
  • Work collaboratively with all marketing teams to ensure our membership proposition is class leading, identifying new, segment relevant opportunities and partnerships.
  • Oversee the execution of all member marketing campaigns across all touch points. Hitting all internal and external deadlines.
  • Use analytics and insights to optimise initiatives, campaigns and outputs
  • Help drive commercial growth through audiences & member retention and acquisition. (Membership growth, eCommerce etc.)
  • Develop and implement audience and member value propositions and strategies.
  • Help develop established and new direct to audience/membership revenue streams.
  • Evolve customer journeys and direct marketing across digital platforms.
  • Manage KPIs across Membership Revenue, Acquisition Conversion & Retention.

What we are looking for

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent relevant marketing qualification
  • Proven experience in delivering campaigns and short-term tactical activity to drive acquisition.
  • Ability to demonstrate entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
  • Proven experience of formulating strategies and concepts
  • A solid understanding of customer segmentation and targeting and how marketing can be applied to drive the desired response.
  • Experience achieving results in a complex, commercial organisation through detail orientation, strong analytical skills, and effective budget control.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles such as CRM, Google Ads, Paid Social, Social Media, Content Marketing and Affiliates
  • Awareness and interest of Web3 + tech innovation.
  • Stakeholder management experience along with the ability to influence internal and external cross-functional teams effectively
  • Able to navigate complexity and thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to work under pressure
