Role Summary

The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) is seeking an experienced and dynamic communications professional to join our CIB Communications team to support its Digital & Platform Services (D&PS) organization.

This communication manager will be focused on supporting the development and delivery of D&PS senior executive communication and employee engagement strategies with broader focus on managing the communications needs, activities, and channels for the D&PS businesses they support. This communicator will also contribute to story generation, manage and write content, and cross-support various D&PS communications efforts and projects. Based in London, the role will be a direct liaison to manage executive communications and activities locally and regionally.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of internal communications strategies and best practices, executive communications advisory experience, excellent writing capabilities with skill at creating content and sharing information about the D&PS business and connecting employees and executives to what people, process and technology happenings they need to be engaged with for D&PS, CIB and more broadly across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Communications Partner for the co-heads of the D&PS organization, which will also include support for other members of the D&PS Leadership Team.
  • Devise strategic communications plans and campaigns for these senior executives to meet their business and employee engagement needs.
  • Provide event-planning support for a variety of global meetings, including large scale Town Halls, MD/ED meetings, global calls, etc.
  • Partner closely with leadership team members, business management and human resources partners and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive communications strategy to tell the D&PS, Operations and Technology business, employee, and client experience stories.
  • Write executive communications such as organizational announcements, business and people priority-related messages, event-driven notifications and topical senior leader/manager talking points.
  • Create and contribute content for PowerPoint decks and talking points for aligned internal executive and business clients for large meetings, town halls and presentations.
  • Write articles and other editorial content for intranet and newsletters.
  • Serve as lead publisher and content manager for intranet homepages and subpages – publishing news and feature articles, and accompanying graphics.
  • Write video scripts for senior executives and partner with design team to manage and produce video content.
  • Liaise across D&PS groups to advise on their communications needs, such as branding reviews, content editing reviews, consultation on strategy and client management.
  • Manage broadcast email publication scheduling and use Targeted Email tool to distribute large-scale broadcast messages to D&PS employees.
  • Use data to identify patterns and adjust communications strategy accordingly to be most effective.
  • Partner with global CIB Internal Communications colleagues to understand goals and assist in implementing communications tactics and create innovative ways to engage with content.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and engagement with broader business or firmwide programs and strategic initiatives, such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
  • Assist when needed with various communications and other strategic projects for the D&PS and CIB Internal Communications team at large.

Qualifications

  • Internal and corporate communications experience, including extensive hands-on writing, editing, project management, and presentation building, focused on internal business and employee content.
  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism preferred.
  • Knowledge in financial services industry and general understanding of technology, operations, and data ideal, but not required.
  • Senior executive communications advisory, writing and management experience.
  • A strategic and creative thinker with proven ability to devise strategic communications plans and campaigns.
  • Ability to operate both at the highest strategic levels as well as at the most tactical and executional levels to deliver excellence and cohesive messaging.
  • Expert proof reading and editing skills.
  • Ability to source, tell and write impactful stories.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage end-to-end, cross line of business projects with precise execution.
  • Experience working with internal communications tools and platforms; familiarity with communications measurement tools and metrics preferred.
  • Excellent at relationship building, collaborating, and engaging.
  • Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment.
