The Integrated Automotive Solutions Team is a strategic and execution focused group that works closely with the teams selling the firm’s Payments products: TS Sales, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Consumer & Community Banking, Chase Merchant Services and Commercial Card. The group also supports the Payments business and staff areas on a project basis on priority topics.

Position Summary

We are looking for an Executive Director (ED) to join our Integrated Automotive Solutions Team in Europe, reporting to the Global Head of the Group. This person will take responsibility for Business Development with specific focus on prospective clients and stakeholders across the Electric Vehicle Charging value chain (i.e. MSPs, CPOs, Roaming Networks and OEMs). Collaborating with Sales, Product and Corporate Development organizations this person will help drive the definition and execution of our EV growth strategy in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

The individual will be directly responsible for accelerating growth strategy and business development for EV charging and closely partner with Sales, Product, Partnerships and Corporate Developments through a full range of activities.

  • Closely work with the Sales team identifying priority clients across the European EV Charging segment and defining sales strategies
  • Identify new business opportunities in a rapidly evolving market, partnering closely with internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Payments Sales, Corporate Bankers and Investment Banking Sales while participating in proactive client engagement to originate strategic and complex deals
  • Develop and present client relevant and thoughtful solution presentations aligned with our EV growth strategy
  • Partner with Product management to create compelling value propositions designed to address segment specific client requirements
  • Contribute to designing solutions leveraging the power of the JPMC franchise (ranging from Global Payments, FX, merchant acquiring, commercial card, trade, to retail/digital payments businesses) across existing and potential clients of the bank
  • Identify and scope opportunities for industry collaboration, strategic partnerships and investments where appropriate
  • Initiate dialogue with various market participants in the EV charging segment ranging from early stage to established businesses
  • Coordinate with Partnership teams where appropriate to drive opportunities for collaboration in the industry
  • Effectively represent the Group in industry events and forums to create connectivity with potential partners and clients as well as enhance visibility in the sector

Qualifications

  • Relevant Sales, strategy, or business development experience; experience from an EV infrastructure player (e.g. EV charging provider) is a plus
  • BA or BS from a top-tier program or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of transaction banking, cross-border payments, FX and Channels, merchant acquiring, and the evolving wholesale and retail eCommerce payments space
  • Strong product oriented experience and acumen. Excellent client facing skills.
  • Ability to develop clear sales and marketing strategies and execute against them
  • Prior experience in a start-up environment e.g. Fintech is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple deals/opportunities simultaneously
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with key internal partners – sales, product management, client service, GCB, IB and implementation
  • Must have strong leadership, presentation and communication skills
