CIB Data Control Horizontal program is part of the CIB Digital, Data & AI Controls function. R eporting to the CIB Data Control Horizontal Program lead, the successful candidate will lead the implementation of Future State Tooling Governance (User Tools, Intelligent Solutions, Analytical Tools, Models) building and leveraging sophisticated data analysis capabilities, designing solutions, developing acceleration plans and driving the execution of such strategy across CIB Controls. This role will require interaction and collaboration with Control Leaders and their respective organizations as well as key partners across the CIB including Data Science, Technology and Business colleagues. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with advanced skills in strategy, problem solving, and transformation as well as strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will be commercial and have a strong background and proven ability to deliver large scale transformational programs.

Tooling Governance: a program to establish Future State Tooling Governance as an opportunity to support broader objectives of digitization, automation and commercialization by shifting the perspective of Tooling from individual types to a continuum through the toolset (User Tools, Intelligent Solutions, Analytical Tools, Models) that can be harmonized and unified

Establish a Governance Framework to 1) support Compliance with applicable Policies, Standards and Procedures 2) Provide additional business value by ensuring future state governance across all tooling is aligned to a scalable, auditable and safe process that avoids bureaucracy and supports a risk based approach that protects and promotes good innovation

Responsibilities

  • Program manage and help deliver large scale programs ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Engage and partner with stakeholders to ensure execution of deliverables is successful
  • Present and communicate program status updates to Senior Management, working groups and regulators as required
  • Foster collaboration and information sharing to ensure efficient execution
  • Coordinate resources for the flawless execution of projects
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Work Experience/ Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Extensive experience in financial services
  • Previous experience in strategic and tactical initiatives: Ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Exceptional critical thinking, project management and analytical skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate
  • Strong communication skills – verbal, written and technical (e.g., PowerPoint). Ability to present concise, direct and timely communications to executives, management and key partners; strong presentation skills is essential
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills: Take ownership and accountability for area of responsibility
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow tasks/issues through
  • Excellent prioritization and time management
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
  • Absorb and present complex ideas quickly and accurately
  • Ability to shift perspective from high level ‘big picture’ to low-level detail
  • Partnership and relationship management: must have ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with numerous teams and key stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible and follow tight deadlines; provide clear and concise solutions constrained by tight deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) Preferred
  • Audit, internal control or operational risk experience
