Job Description –

We seek an experience Product Owner/Manager to join our team, focused on developing our Unsecured lending business]:


  • Building a collections capability for a new entrant in to the UK market place
  • Leading on the Collections strategy and delivering good customer and commercial outcomes
  • Develop strategies and treatments for customers in financial difficulties or are deemed vulnerable
  • Ensure all policies and procedures meet regulatory standards and are continually monitored to ensure compliance
  • Engage with our Operations teams and with third parties who deliver our collections and recoveries journeys to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to asses overall performance of our collections capability and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks associated with the product
  • Work collaboratively with the wider organisation to champion collections and ensure effective end to end performance and customer centric solutions

Skills/ Qualifications

  • Proven experience of working in Collections environment with desirable experience of developing collections strategy
  • Good understanding of unsecured lending and proven track record of working on unsecured lending portfolios (specifically Credit Cards and/or instalment credit)
  • Experience of UK Regulations relating to collections activity with specific reference to CONC, Consumer Credit Act (CCA) and Lending Standards Board (LSB)
  • Experience of developing or utilizing digital solutions for unsecured lending products
  • Experience of working with third party venders and outsource partners is preferable
  • Experience of managing risk and specifically with credit and compliance risk
  • Proven track record of using data and insight to drive strategy
  • Ability to clearly communicate collection needs and intent
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities / deadlines without compromising quality
  • Must be capable of independent decision-making as well as able to take direction
