Business Overview & Role Description

The Securities Services business provides a wide range of foreign exchange solutions to its clients across Global Custody, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency and other products. FX Product work closely with Sales, Client Management and Client Service to understand the client needs and priorities to deliver a first class, market leading product offering. The Product team drive the solutioning, development and day to day management of the FX Product suite (FX AutoFX, DirectFX, Passive Currency Overlay, Cross Currency Sweeps, Continuous Linked Settlement and Third Party FX). The FX Product team are also responsible for defining the long term product strategy and vision of the business, partnering with the execution teams towards timely delivery of a broad range of strategic programs.

The Global FX Product Team is based in New York, London and Hong Kong. This position is for an Associate reporting directly to the Global Head of FX Product. The role will be based in London assisting in the development and execution of strategic initiatives in addition to the day to day product management. The role will involve partnering with an extensive range of product teams, functional partners and colleagues across J.P.Morgan including Markets, Payments and others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver on product strategy for Foreign Exchange as part of the Global FX Product team
  • Partner with Product Development colleagues to deliver on the change the bank agenda
  • Lead product initiatives across revenue, compliance, data strategy, product solutions, identifying opportunities to improve the FX product offering and enhance client experience
  • Deliver against the evolving needs of the Securities Services client base and market dynamics – driven by competition, regulatory changes, emerging client requirements and product needs
  • Develop, implement and manage FX solutions for broader Securities Services product suite (including Private Equity and Real Estate Services, Collateral Management, Direct Custody, Transfer Agency)
  • Act as escalation point for product related questions and ensure suitable resolution and management of issues
  • Partner with FX Services division of CIB, responsible for supporting FX solutions for clients across the firm
  • Develop a robust understanding of Securities Services client base and market dynamics – competition, regulatory changes, emerging client requirements and product needs
  • Support Ad-hoc research and resolution of daily issues, data requests, reporting requirements, as well as regulatory requests
  • Support internal product training on FX in partnership with FX Client Management

Skills / Experiences

  • Significant experience in Financial Services in a Product Management, Finance, Product Development, Operations, or Technology role
  • Previous knowledge of Securities Services, FX or Markets products/business is preferred
  • Previous experience with global initiatives involving multiple disciplines or functions
  • Track record in program management or delivering on change agenda
  • Experience in operating model re-engineering or product development/transformation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with ability to articulate complex ideas and analytics in a succinct way
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management, delivering quality work in a timely manner
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and business partners, collaborating as a team to deliver results
  • Ability to perform in a high pressure, face paced environment working across multiple time zones and geographies
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent required
