Job Responsibilities

The CFO function oversees the financial management and the day to day financial information of the business, main UK legal entity and activities booked in non-UK legal entities, and is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy and completeness of financial & reporting inputs including balance sheet, P&L and budget forecasts and executive management reporting. The team partners closely with the Controllers and Business Management functions to support the wider strategic and financial priorities of the business and the firm.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Ownership of monthly critical reporting, controls and monitoring at a line of business and legal entity level the BS and P&L actuals vs budget, variance analysis (monthly, quarterly), unnatural balances and FX exposure monitoring and trade out
  • Supporting LOB controllers through variance analysis and commentary of key business drivers
  • Ownership of legal entity related reporting; considering balance sheet trends, and regulatory threshold monitoring
  • Ownership and monitoring of cost attribution calculations and bookings between legal entities
  • Management of inputs and forecasts feeding into the business budget
  • Assisting in executive management reporting and insights regarding expense tracking and cost spend trends
  • Partnering with the business as a trusted partner and advisor in providing support to product, marketing & technology teams on all financial matters
  • Developing insightful materials to support the narrative of key messages including thorough research to substantiate and challenge assumptions and estimations
  • Diverse engagement and partnering with numerous functions across the Firm – Legal entity control, regulatory, tax, policy and controller functions with inputs and insights of the business

F&BM operates as an agile and cross-functional area and the successful candidate will be required to flex their skill set to support the wider teams as required.

Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel (Pivot table and vlookup), Access, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint
  • Experience of development in Alteryx and Tableau (other Firmwide reporting tools)
  • Understanding of US GAAP and UK GAAP/IFRS accounting standards
