J.P. Morgan is seeking a talented communicator to drive innovative internal communications programs for its Payments business – one of the most exciting and rapidly changing areas in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will be highly creative and well-rounded, with an ability to operate both at the highest strategic levels as well as at the most tactical and executional levels to deliver excellence and cohesive messaging. Candidate must work effectively in a matrixed environment, as this role requires close collaboration with senior product leaders, product marketing teams, legal, PR, media, compliance, sales, and other business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Write content and messaging (intranet articles, announcements, talking points, town halls, blogs, video scripts, etc.) consistent with communication objectives related to business vision and objectives
  • Convey information in a clear, consistent voice
  • Manage communications projects/initiatives from beginning to end
  • Partner with global CIB Internal Communications colleagues to understand goals and assist in implementing communications tactics
  • Help ensure effective communications globally, as needed, in coordination with Corporate Communications and regional communicators

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism preferred
  • Strategic thinking, attention to detail and tactical execution skills
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal skills; strong editing skills; web knowledge/digital savvy
  • Consultative approach with the ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively across the organization
  • Ability to effectively partner with direct management, team members and clients; must work well with all levels of employees and execute on all assignments
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives
  • Close attention to detail on events, written work and strategic advice
  • Commitment to maintaining the firm’s high standards related to risk, compliance and the Code of Conduct
  • Strong project manager and multi-tasker, comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours depending on business needs
  • Expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Additional software skills (Adobe, Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, HTML) a plus
  • Must provide writing samples when applying to the position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution
