Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Royds Hall.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in a caring and supportive role within a fantastic team in school. As a Wellbeing and SEMH Mentor working under the direction of the Social, Emotional and Mental Health Co-ordinator, this role will support the learning, progress and care of identified groups of students helping them achieve their personal best. This role is a great opportunity to tailor programmes of support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The role will also support effective liaison and communication with teaching and other support staff.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to demonstrate levels of numeracy and literacy to GCSE [A-C] or 4+;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of young people;
  • Be highly motivated to inspire children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning;
  • Be committed to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at Royds Hall;
  • Have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
