A franchised restaurant is a restaurant operated by a local business person trading under the McDonald’s name. Currently, over 80% of our restaurants in the UK are franchised but from a customer point of view, there’s no difference. Job responsibilities

As a Shift Manager, you will support the salaried management team in ensuring the efficient running of the restaurant following company policies and procedures. You will also provide leadership, coaching and direction to all crew members to ensure there is an engaged, motivated and skilled team that is customer-focused. Deal with any complaints escalated to you by your team promptly, lead by example, take an active and positive role in the recruitment of new team members, Provide motivation, encouragement and regular feedback to the team, Be confident in tackling underperformance within the team and escalate where necessary, assist the Business Manager in the training, development and reviewing of the team, carry out unit shift checklist thoroughly on each shift, take accountability for your unit and team, take action on issues escalated by the cashier.
