Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Contract Management lead used to working in the Estate/Facilities Management field as well as a complex contract environment. Within the MOD’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) the lead is the Authority Representative accountable for the oversight, management, and delivery of a range of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracted services and selected new works to the built assets and facilities that support all site station activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The TL will be expected to prepare business cases for certain new works to obtain necessary approvals and will be accountable for expediting an approved and agreed New Works/ Additional Services annual Programme to achieving or exceed forecast targets.
  • The Team Leader manages a small team supported by commercial and finance to manage the Contract in its delivery of a full suite of Hard, Soft, and Ancillary Services to the Station
  • he role requires confidence working across a range of end user customersand managing Industry Partners (IPs).
  • The Team leader (TL) will assist with development and delivery of long, mid and annual works delivery programmes and identifying the appropriate financial profile forecasts so support Customer annual business planning activities.
  • The postholder will be proactive in seeking and acting on customer feedback and driving a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency to the performance of their own team and IP’s.

Job Requirements:

  • The TL will arrange, chair, manage, record, and report a monthly cycle of formal delivery, performance, and compliance reviews with all stakeholders involved.
  • Collaborative working is a key enabler to delivering with our PFI Partners.
  • The role acts as the primary conduit for information and communication with the contractor in respect of Service delivery, ensuring Management Plans are in place and current.
  • Project delivery schedules are produced, reviewed, and reported against progress monthly.
  • The Team Leader is accountable for verification of mandatory compliance and assurances and KPI’s.
  • The postholder will also be required to compile, implement (where need identified), administrate, and manage monthly management reporting activity.
  • You will be responsible for developing, embedding, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships based on ISO44,001 principles, seeking opportunities to drive value through these relationships.
