Brief Description

Network Rail are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner based out of the Milton Keynes office within the Group Finance Analysis and Reporting Team to provide analytical support and insight into National and Regional scorecard performance trends.

About The Role (External)

Day in the life of

  • Involved in the production of scorecard outputs, supported by analysis of data to derive additional insights.
  • Consulting with regions and central functions to understand key performance drivers and future trends.
  • Delivering clear and concise communications on current performance trends to a range of senior stakeholders.
  • Embed appropriate governance for all our processes.
  • Involvement in CP7 planning from a scorecard perspective.
  • Deliver appropriate assurance activities.
  • Maintaining and building our network of contacts, systems and data sources, ensuring they are robust and accurate.
  • Identify potential improvements to improve accuracy, save time, save money or enable better decision making.

We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner based out of the Milton Keynes office within the Group Finance Analysis and Reporting Team to provide analytical support and insight into National and Regional scorecard performance trends.

Key Skills Required

  • Professional behaviours, with excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive and inquisitive individual, a self-starter who thinks logically.
  • Clear and concise report writing for senior management, including our Executive Leadership Team.
  • Challenge discussions and decision making to ensure we get the most accurate insights for our customers.
  • Flexible approach to workload and priorities, things can change quickly.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, including ‘brand awareness’.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel is preferred, but not essential – should be highly numerate and able to ‘read’ data and graphs for trend analysis and insight gathering.
