Brief Description

As a Risk & Value Analyst you’ll provide Risk and Value Management services to project and programme teams.

About The Role (External)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handle tasks so that risk and value management on projects align with the requirements of the corporate procedures, including GRIP, DWWP and other protocols.
  • Facilitate the identification and analysis of risk and value management interventions on projects and programmes, including lessons learned.
  • Carry out qualitative, quantitative and business risk assessments to give the best advice to project managers and sponsors.
  • Make sure that projects have a risk register, the risk data is accurate, timely and relevant and that appropriate risk treatments are in place and being acted upon.
  • Provide regular reports to project managers on the risk status of projects and programmes, and provide advice on the management of contingency.
  • Establish and co-ordinate a register of risk and value management activities.
  • Support the risk and value management processes in other departments and areas of the business.

We’re looking for someone who can meet the following essential criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience
  • Guide in all aspects of project and business risk management facilitation
  • Able to build risk models in a number of applications, which accurately represent the complexities of cost, schedule and business risk
  • Able to coach and challenge management and non specialists, the results of risk management
  • Knowledge of risk management techniques
  • Knowledge of project management and project control processes

Whilst it’s not essential, we’d love it if you have:

  • Membership of the Institute of Risk Management or Association for Project Management Risk Practitioner
  • Experience in Network Rail’s project management processes and procedures

We follow a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range: Band 4B; £32,740 to £36,832.
