Brief Description

This role will be within Eastern region Capital delivery Track. Working within the Central Rail Systems Alliance, CRSA deliver domestic track renewals plus numerous projects on the Eastern region. The Construction manager role will undertake the day to day construction management of project works in terms of safety, quality, environment, engineering/ design compliance, commissioning, functionality and programme. This will involve the management of CRSA Site Staff and Subcontractors and implementing processes to control the delivery of the works. The role will be based at Peterborough

About The Role (External)

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • Extensive experience in the relevant engineering subject areas, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas.
  • Technical qualifications to HNC/HND or equivalent GNVQ level.
  • Understanding of the CDM Regulations and health & safety legislation, regulations and industry practices.
  • Proven experience of the implementation of health, safety, environmental and quality management processes
  • Knowledge of Track Renewal processes, operational railway and associated safety matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Contract and commercial awareness.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in the site environment.
  • Ability to drive
  • PTS, COSS

The following qualities/experience are Desirable:

  • A minimum 5 years experience.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution or working towards.
  • Technical qualifications to HNC/HND or equivalent GNVQ level.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH
  • IEMA
