Job Description:

This role is crucial in the delivery of Service Delivery’s efficiency, service and financial targets. I am the owner of the national 28 day rolling and intra-day tactical resourcing plans for the end to end:15,000 field based engineers across the Service delivery organisation & the third party suppliers, and I work with our team of planners to create the best plans possible to deliver outstanding service for both our internal engineer and external CP customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer complex operational questions and make recommendations to stakeholders up to a Director level. You will analyse large datasets and provide actionable insights and be able to present your recommendations verbally and in written form (using Powerpoint)
  • Working in the Operational planning team you will Own and run our weekly strategic (4 week) plan, modelling different scenarios and making recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Develop and improve the strategic plan as well tactical reports and forecasts.
  • Carry out central reporting and work with stakeholders across different teams including Finance, Legal, and Operations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Able to use large datasets to build models, answer complex questions and provide clear actionable insights.
  • A Degree in a relevant subject, or relevant professional experience in the data, planning and insight.
  • Excellent analytical skills; experienced with Excel. VBA experience is beneficial. However if you don’t have VBA experience the ability and desire to learn VBA and other complex Excel functions is sufficient.
  • SQL experience will be beneficial. However if you don’t have this experience, the ability and desire to learn these skills once in the role is required.
  • A self-starter, with an analytical and inquisitive mind, able to engage, motivate and coach peer group and colleagues across the planning team.
