Puregym Career – Commercial Finance Analyst

Job Description:

Suitable for part qualified accountant, finalist, or newly qualified chartered accountant, your day-to-day will involve getting close to the detail in a fast-paced, growing business, in addition to creating efficiencies in the reporting process such as automation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Commercial Finance function to help deliver robust commercial analysis to the rest of the business
• Track promotional activity throughout the year as well as track success and impacts of price changes
• Assist with the quarterly forecast and annual budget process
• Continual development of management information systems, to improve automation of reporting to key business users
• Develop strong relationship with Configuration team
• Support key tracking of new club performance – a critical growth avenue for the business
• Own the reporting and analysis for Hydromassage beds, Yanga Sports Water and bolt-on reporting
• Support in the budget process for joining fee and day pass P&L lines
• Run weekly and monthly membership reporting, circulating to all areas of the business, including senior management team
• Support with daily trading reports and analysis, including yield and price change analysis
• Develop an understanding of core membership processes across the business, and within the membership system, to ensure integrity of all membership reporting
• Build knowledge and experience for commercial analysis

Job Requirements:

• You will also have the ability to prepare board information packs and present complex information clearly and in summary form.
• You will need strong Excel, Powerpoint, data and financial analysis skills, and ideally experience in multi-dimensional databases would be desirable.
• PureGym is a fast-paced business and so the ability to self-motivate and hit strict deadlines is key.
• It is also pivotal that you have the ability to plan ahead against key business and department deliverables.

   

• You’ll be working with different stakeholders across the business, so the ability to communicate and build relationships across the business will also play an important part in your success.

Qualification & Experience:

• You will need strong Excel, Powerpoint, data and financial analysis skills, and ideally experience in multi-dimensional databases would be desirable.
