DIO manages £35bn of infrastructure assets and spends £3.5bn each year maintaining and developing those assets on behalf of the whole of the MOD in pursuit of its strategic objectives!

DIO’s finance function aims to provide best in class financial management, reporting and advice to a range of stakeholders across the MOD, ensuring value for money for the taxpayer in how the Department’s Infrastructure Portfolio is delivered.

As a DIO Finance Manager within the Land Management Services (LMS) team you will help enable the successful delivery of significant Capital Infrastructure in support of Defence training, capability and enhancing the Service persons lived experience. You will be accountable for ensuring your Business Area (BA) adheres and conforms to all agreed DIO TLB processes and operating procedures, and particularly those which are detailed under the key infrastructure process for Finance.

You will be pivotal in providing financial management of their business areas budget and spend against the Control Totals (CTs) delegated. Working closely with the business and project teams in particular you will provide advice and guidance to ensure the delivery of reliable and robust monthly accounting activities, reporting and forecasting both In Year and across the Annual Budget Cycle!

If not based at Andover this role requires travel to Andover for team meetings.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Previous knowledge of Project Financials/Accounting; Professional Accountancy Qualification (AAT/CCAB)
