The Challenge DIO manages £35bn of infrastructure assets and spends £3.5bn each year maintaining and developing those assets on behalf of the whole of the MOD in pursuit of its strategic objectives.

DIO’s finance function aims to provide best in class financial management, reporting and advice to a range of stakeholders across the MOD, ensuring value for money for the taxpayer in how the Department’s Infrastructure Portfolio is delivered.

This Senior Finance Manager role supports the Reserves Estate Optimisation portfolio (REOp) and Acquisition and Disposals business area which manages construction, unit moves and disposal activities that will modernise and rationalise the reserves estate, ensuring it can effectively support future capability.

In this role, using your strong communication skills, you will be primary point of contact for the financial management of the REOp disposal programme whereby you will influence, control, manage and report all REOp disposals management information for decision making to the Senior Leadership team.

This role will also lead on the delivery of monthly management accounts submission e.g. General Ledger Accounting, Annual accounts, 10-year financial planning submission (Annual Budget Cycle), In Year Management forecasting and financial contract management of strategic partners.
