About the Job

We are looking for a Capability Safety or Engineering professional for this newly crafted role. This great opportunity is not your typical Health & Safety role! This strategically critical role will provide support and leadership to the conceptual and programmatic element of the newly established group and supply the Head of the CSG with second party assurance of work it conducts in support of capability safety matters, and management of capability Safety Arguments.

As part of the Army’s new group, you will be accountable to the Head and Assistant Head for the delivery of its objectives, initially focussing on the establishment of the Futures and Programmes CSG structures and crafting and influencing the context and culture of Army capability safety. Once established, we expect the role holders to support the Head of the group in developing, securing, and protecting its vision of overall improvement to capability safety whilst ensuring the system is implemented appropriately. We expect excellent customer relationship and partner leadership skills; that the role holders will be personable, proactive and professional who will champion for Safety and possess a diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels, playing a visible and active leadership role, not only within the Army HQ, but more widely across the business.
