Job Responsibilities:

  • Review of daily bank statements from Lloyds providing back up for any payments or rejections received to Payroll Analyst.
  • Distribution of Payslips (IOM & Jersey only) to home addresses
  • Distribution of P45’s to leaver’s home addresses (UK payrolls only)
  • Co-ordinate any BACS recall requests, to be sign off by Payroll Manager.
  • Calculation cross charges (transfers) to be processed by Payroll analyst to month end deadline.
  • Maintenance of any employee overpayments to include; recalculation of payslips, issuing of letters, resolution of any queries and sending out payment receipts.
  • You will support in the processing of Payroll information for approx. 3100 monthly paid employees and approx. 800 seasonal workers paid fortnightly during peak trading over Christmas period.
  • Input and checking of new starter information to include calculation of any back pay\adjustments as required.
  • Input and checking of any employee leavers and change of detail requests to include the calculation of any back pay\adjustments as required.
  • Answer\resolve any employee payroll related queries via telephone or email.
  • Open, sort and processing of incoming payroll post.
  • Review of daily bank statements from Lloyds providing back up for any payments or rejections received to Payroll Analyst.
  • Completion of any employee data requesting including, statement of earnings requests, copy payslips and other employee earnings related enquires (DWP, Banks etc.).
  • Process any manual one-off advance or third-party payment requests though Lloyds and Bank of Ireland Systems (BOI)
  • Maintenance of department files to include archiving of data on a monthly and annual basis at tax year end
  • Other reasonable additional duties as requested by Payroll Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Working as part of a team, this role will provide a professional and efficient payroll service for approx. 3100 employees working in approx.
  • 280 stores and two central head office locations in the UK, IOM, Jersey and ROI.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team
  • Ability to prioritise own work and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Entry level payroll experience in a similar environment with basic payroll legislation knowledge
  • Accurate inputting skills
  • Basic Excel and word knowledge
  • Able to give good customer service to internal and external customers
